  Presenting:    Sarah Freeman-Woolpert     “Supporting Social Justice Movements through Advocacy”    

Sarah Freeman-Woolpert recruits, trains, and supports constituents around the country to develop deep advocacy skills and lobby elected officials for legislative change. Sarah contributes to the strategic development and growth of the FCNL Advocacy Teams program through outreach, team-building, and problem-solving to expand a robust, self-sustaining network of grassroots advocates. 

Sarah is a writer and Associate Editor at WagingNonviolence.org, a people-powered news source examining grassroots struggles for peace and justice around the globe. She is also a Board Member for Učimo, an educational nonprofit in Bosnia-Herzegovina.  

Sarah holds a master’s degree in human rights and democracy in Southeast Europe from the University of Sarajevo. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs with a focus on conflict resolution from George Washington University.  

A native of Pembroke, New Hampshire, Sarah was raised in the Concord Friends Meeting.
