Dr. James Malarkey is a retired Professor from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio with an academic background in the field of Anthropology. He also taught at the American University of Beirut where he met the Bushrui family and became acquainted with the Bahá’i Faith. As part of a recent project he has been researching the emerging interdisciplinary paradigm called Restorative Justice. His talk will explain the philosophy of Restorative Justice, how it works, provide examples to show how it can be employed at every level of society and the means to harmonize these principles with the Bahá’i Faith. His talk will trace the academic and circumstantial leaps to pursue, and teach this “revolutionary” way of doing justice.
