Presenting: Karim Rushdy “True Expression in an Environment of Love and Respect”

Karim Rushdy is a music-technology high school teacher at Nancy Campbell Academy in Stratford, Ontario. He was born in Haiti, raised in India, United States, and Canada. He is Egyptian, Persian, Irish, and Scottish. He is a father of two and husband to Julie Kim, who is Korean-Swedish. Karim has created music since he was 14 years old. He graduated from the Audio Engineering and Music Production program at Metalworks Institute in 2006, where he met Nabil and JC. Nabil and Karim went on to make music directly inspired by the Writings of the Baha’i Faith. JC and Karim released some music as well and are currently working on new music. Karim’s main driving passion in his musical expression is to inspire the youth and children to realize their inherent nobility. In 2013, this led Karim to start The Rap Camp – a program that aims to create environments of love and encouragement where participants can be equipped with the tools they need to develop the power of expression and take one more step on their healing journey.
