Presenting:    Steven Kitchell  “My Journey to the Bahai Faith” 

Steven Kitchell became a Baha’i on 23 February 2020. He was a Christian for 32 years.  He graduated from Indiana University with a Master’s Degree in Central Eurasian Studies with an emphasis on Iran and a minor in religious studies. He completed his thesis over Ali Shariati’s reinterpretation of Shi’ite Islam which led to the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Steven spent 12 years in the Army and got out as a Captain. During this time, he spent 18 months in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, six months in Kuwait supporting Operation Inherent Resolve against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, and nine months in the Horn of Africa supporting operations in Somalia.
