Presenting: Ms. Eileen Carpenter “The Persistence of Race and its Economic Consequences”

Ms. Eileen Carpenter grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Physics.  After graduation, she worked for four years as an Associate Engineer for Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Baltimore, MD. She left Westinghouse to attend Law school and earned her law degree from the University of Maryland. Ms. Carpenter is currently engaged in the practice of law primarily in the area of real estate.

She has served on numerous civic boards including the Red Cross, the National Aquarium in Baltimore Advisory Board, Baltimore Neighborhoods and Sail Baltimore. In 2005 Ms. Carpenter was voted one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by the Maryland Daily Record.  She has been a member of the Baha’i Faith for 25 years.
